Day 228 - Helm's again

Pretty simple day today. Continued work in the helm area and more <drum roll please> painting! Bet you're surprised at that huh? :-)

So, the pass through hole for the wiring was finished being drilled out, the five holes for the hydraulic steering were done (four for the mounting lugs and one for the pump) and the unit installed.

The panel for the switches had epoxy applied to the back and the extra epoxy was put around the edges of the square cut out, the pass through hole, the flat edges of the entrance to the cuddy and back in the transom well. The switch panel was temporarily held in place with a piece of tape, then a screw and washer were put through one of the holes and screwed into a piece of wood spanning the other side of the hole to pull the panel flush.

Finally, the bracket for the chartplotter was aligned, holes marked and drilled and screws install.

The usual suspects were either primed or painted and I called it a night.
