Day 208 - Four paint colors

were applied today; primer, maroon, white and almond. Starboard cabinetry, roof edge, rear deck and spray rail respectively.

The starboard cabinetry was almost all primered except for those areas that will acquire some epoxy and/or peanut butter, after pulling all the screws. :-)

The lower area for the fuel tank will get a couple coats of white paint, then the tank will be secured in place and the piece of plywood will be secured above it. Then a coat of primer on the unpainted areas and a couple coats of white there. Then the counter will be secured and a coat of primer and three or four coats of white there. Hmmm... that's several days of painting, I'll need to come up with a way to cover it while making sawdust.

The rear deck got its' first coat of white paint which doesn't look nearly as good as the pictures would suggest.

Four more coats to go, plus a couple coats and some sand for the non-skid areas. Which reminds me, I need to pick up some striping tape for the non-skid areas on the shelves and forward deck. Curves ahead!

The spray rail got a coat too, and will continue to get coats all week. Nothing to see that's really photographable (is that a word?), but the color looks better after covering more of the primer. This almond color has much better "hide" qualities than does the white.

Got pretty stinky tonight, so fired up the propane heater and opened the door for a while.
